About Us

The UC Trust is a registered British Charity based in London that works with alumni, study abroad students, donors, and faculty from ten campuses to bring the UC to the UK & Europe.

The University of California Trust is a registered British charity [1075405] founded in 1999 through a partnership between California Governor Gray Davis and UC President Richard Atkinson. It fosters connections, knowledge exchange, and philanthropy between the UC system and its students, alumni, and friends in the UK and Europe.

The UC Trust offers tax-effective giving options for UK and EU-based donors, supports the UC Alumni UK network, and partners with UCOP and individual campuses to advance global engagement, education, and community impact.

The UC Trust collaborates closely with the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) to strengthen UC’s global engagement, fundraising, and community-building efforts. Together, they support tax-effective giving, cross-campus donor initiatives, and events that connect alumni, students, and faculty across the UK and Europe. The Trust works in partnership with UCOP teams including Institutional Advancement and UCEAP to enhance student mobility, promote knowledge exchange, and celebrate the UC community abroad. The Trust and UCOP continue to explore opportunities to deepen UC’s presence and impact in the region.
